Mercyhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy clinic. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting assessments, assisting with exams, performing lab procedures, scheduling, and handling patient inquiries.
The role requires CPR/BLS certification within 90 days and ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited training. The position is full-time day hours in a clinic setting with opportunities to contribute to quality improvement projects and maintain
Provides clinical and administrative support by rooming patients, collecting assessment information, assisting with exams and procedures, and supporting laboratory and screening activities. Also coordinates appointments and referrals, maintains accurate patient records, handles phone and in-person inquiries, collects payments, and helps ensure efficient daily clinic operations.

Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or graduate of a medical assistant program in a post secondary school or college that has institutional accreditation by a regional accrediting commission or by a national accrediting organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education, or a graduate of an educational program accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), such as the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Experience in a program with a clinical rotation preferred. Planned program completion within 1 year upon hire.
Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
