Job summary

This full-time daytime position requires 1 year MA experience, CMA certification, and current BLS. We offer comprehensive benefits, day-one eligibility, and opportunities for growth within Baptist Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of an accredited MA program or at least 1 year of verifiable Medical Assistant experience.
• 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Active CMA or equivalent national MA certification (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.) and current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and providers during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Collect and document patient histories, vitals, and clinical data.
• Administer routine treatments and approved medications per provider direction.
• Enter medication, lab, and diagnostic orders into the electronic medical record.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical policies.
• Coordinate scheduling for specialty testing and consultations.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and practice staff.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support front office functions as needed (scheduling, patient flow, discharge).
