Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Assistant, Specialty, GI
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Medical Assistant
  • Location: 2101 S Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL.
  • Full Time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Varying hours - Monday to Friday (7:15am - 7pm)
What you will do:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and accountable to the Clinical Supervisor, you will serve as the primary assistant to the medical provider, performing routine clinical tasks and direct patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include facilitating patient throughput, clinical testing, and follow-up activities.

  • Assist the provider with patient care activities, maintain exam rooms, and support patient interactions by collecting and documenting health data, observing patient needs, and assisting during examinations.
  • Review and update patient records, coordinate tests and treatments, and assist with scheduling and referrals as needed.
  • Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, injections, immunizations, and supporting minor procedures, including venipunctures, Point of Care testing, and EKGs.
  • Handle clerical tasks like answering calls, updating medical records, scheduling appointments, and managing patient follow-up and documentation.
What you will need:
  • Education: Preferred current certification from a national Medical Assistant certification body or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Certification: BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Experience: Familiarity with clinical equipment and materials.
