Job description

Work Schedule :

Part-time, per-diem, day shift. Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, LPN) to:

  • Support providers across various specialties including Allergy, Cardiology, Endocrine, ENT, Memory Care, Nephrology, Neurology, Optometry, Pain Management, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Spine, Urology, and Vascular.
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a patient-centered environment.
  • Promote health, wellness, and education.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One of the following:
    • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or
    • Licensure as an LPN, or
    • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Program, or
    • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, or
    • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program, or
    • One year recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
Experience and Certifications
  • Preferred: 1 year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN.
  • Required: Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year, or licensure as an LPN upon hire, or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification if education/licensure is pending, and CPR/BLS certification upon hire.
