Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a skilled NCT/Medical Assistant to support patient care and imaging services in a busy urgent care setting. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient communication, and teamwork across clinical tasks.

Qualifications

1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
AAMA certification preferred.
BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs and IM injections.
Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
Collect patient history and document in EHR.
Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
Assist with check-in/check-out including chart auditing.
Maintain records and logs of in-house lab work and external lab results.
Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
