Job summary

Penn State Health Cornerstone Family Practice in Lititz, PA is expanding its clinical team. The Medical Assistant will room patients, take vitals, perform POC testing, EKGs and phlebotomy, and administer vaccines as needed.

Administrative duties include handling calls, messages, faxes, and pulling records. The role requires teamwork and an eagerness to learn in a busy primary care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or registration through Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days or CMA/RMA certification required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (preferred).
• Previous outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, collect vitals, manage Point-of-Care Testing, perform EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Admin duties: make/answer calls and messages, monitor E-message pool, send faxes, pull patient records.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
