Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking candidates to perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the supervision of a provider. The qualified candidate will have a High School diploma, CMA or RMA certification, and BLS certification (or obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification/registration as CMA or RMA within 90 days of employment or current active CMA/RMA status.
• BLS certification required or obtain within 6 months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a provider.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by provider.
