Qualifications

• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers at time of hire or within 30 days.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant's practice; operates diagnostic equipment and collects specimens.
• Rooms patients and prepares them for examination.
• Records patient care documentation accurately and timely.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians and policies.
• Respects patient confidentiality and maintains infection control standards.
• Performs duties under the supervision of a provider or physician.
