Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will assist in examinations, take vitals, draw blood, and manage the front desk with a patient-first approach.

Salary is $20.00–$24.25 per hour with a sign-on bonus up to $3,500 for external candidates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• 1+ years Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for the center.
• Coordinate referrals to Specialists and communicate status to patients.
• Answer patient questions and provide care updates.
• Maintain exam rooms and front desk area, stocking supplies as needed.
• Document medical records and ensure chart accuracy.
