Job summary

HealthTexas in Schertz, TX is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support providers during exams, perform nursing tasks, and manage routine clinical procedures. The role emphasizes patient care, charting, and maintaining a clean, organized workflow.

You will work closely with the clinical team, handle EMR entries, assist with injections, testing such as EKGs and lab duties, and uphold HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a recognized Medical Assistant Certification program preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Phlebotomy and/or Venipuncture certificate may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the medical provider with physical examinations and nursing treatments.
• Perform or assist with EKGs, wound care, testing, and injections.
• Document tests, exams, and patient instructions per HIPAA and policies.
