Job summary

HealthTexas Primary Care Doctors is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians, perform nursing tasks, and help ensure smooth patient flow in a busy clinic.

You will prepare patients for exams, assist with testing (EKG, labs), manage supplies, update EMR, and help coordinate scheduling while upholding HIPAA and privacy.

This role includes a $500 sign-on bonus for full-time CMA/RMA, comprehensive onboarding, a clinical ladder and competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred.
• CPR certification required; phlebotomy certificate may be required.
• Externship or 1 year MA clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and other customers.
• Maintain timely flow of patients and protect patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist with examinations by Provider.
• Assist with procedures such as EKGs, labs, and basic testing.
• Update and maintain EMR records, charts, and care plans.
• Stock supplies, sterilize rooms/equipment, and assist with scheduling.
