Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a multi-provider clinic. The role includes vital signs, medical history collection, patient education, and administrative duties within the electronic health record system.

Under supervision of the Clinic Nursing Supervisor or Practice Manager, you will assist with immunizations, diagnostic tests, and coordination of referrals while maintaining high-quality patient care and efficient clinic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience working with a culturally diverse population is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake: room patients and collect vital signs and history
• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Administer immunizations under supervision
• Document in electronic health records accurately
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations
• Schedule flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays
