Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a provider. The role includes rooming patients, obtaining vitals, updating records in the EHR, and assisting with screenings and procedures.

Clinically oriented responsibilities include medication screening, documenting patient history, and following AHN protocols. A high school diploma and MA certification are required, with CPR and background checks as standard requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program; certification within 120 days if not yet certified.
• CPR certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of provider.
• Prepare and room patients and document vitals and history.
• Assist with depression screening tools and wellness visits.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies; assist with procedures.
• May float between AHN locations as needed.
