Job summary

McLaren Health is seeking Medical Assistants to deliver quality patient care under supervision, supporting examinations and procedures while assisting with clerical tasks to keep clinic operations efficient.

Starting wages are $20.86/hour for non-certified MAs and $21.90/hour for certified MAs; a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new hires as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved MA/EMT/Nurse Assistant/LPN/Armed services medic or PCT program required.
• BLS certification within 6 months for Rural Health clinics.
• Float positions require clinic travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist in examinations and tests.
• Assist with clerical duties to support operations.
• Prepare rooms, stock supplies and organize forms for visits.
• Document interventions, meds, vital signs in charts/EMR.
• Administer injections, venipuncture, EKGs, immunizations as directed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

MA/EMT/Nurse Assistant/LPN/PCT program completed

BLS certification (AHA/ARC) within 6 months
