Job summary

McLaren Health Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient examinations and tests under supervision. You will collect patient histories, prepare equipment, and document all interactions in the chart system.

The role includes administering injections, drawing blood, and assisting with routine procedures. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires and wage starts at $20.86/hour for non-certified MAs or $21.90/hour for certified MAs with CMA/RMA credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months MA or patient care tech experience.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant program or related healthcare credential.
• BLS within 6 months for Rural Health Designation clinics.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical procedures and tests as directed by providers.
• Take vital signs and document in patient charts.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with gynecological exams and routine visits.
• Administer injections, venipuncture, EKGs, PFTs, and immunizations as directed.
• Obtain prescription approvals and manage lab slips and referrals.
• Maintain clerical duties to support efficient clinic operations.
