Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant for the Oncology division at our Arlington Heights infusion center. This per diem role supports front desk and clinical tasks, with a schedule Monday–Friday and no weekends.

You will assist with appointments, registrations, and basic vitals, with occasional phlebotomy/injections as needed. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CPR certification, and at least one year in a medical setting; MA program graduates are

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred.

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide administrative support to physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position : Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant, Oncology
• Location : Endeavor Health Infusion Center - Arlington Heights, IL
• Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hours per 6 week schedule
• Hours : Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays
• Required Travel: Niles Infusion Center (occasionally)

What you will do:

What you will need:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience, required . Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred .
• Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required ; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred .
• Experience : One year of work experience required , previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred . On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
