Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Assistant for the ReadyMed location in Natick, MA. This full-time role includes three 12-hour shifts per week and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

The position involves pediatric to geriatric care, assisting physicians with procedures, preparing rooms, and handling clerical duties. Certification is preferred; BLS-CPR is required within 90 days of hire. A valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Education or on the job training as a Medical Assistant.
• Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation.
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Assist in examination and treatment by taking vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height and weight.
• Assist physician with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures (urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures).
• Prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform clerical functions to support office operations.
• Support efficient use of computer-based information.

Hours:Full Time, Three 12-hour shifts/week. Rotating holidays and weekends

Type of Practice:Same Day Services (ReadyMed)

Positions in this function performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
• Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
• Prepare treatment rooms
• Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions
• Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
