Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of Optum, is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Worcester ReadyMed Plus location. This full-time role supports urgent care services with assigned shifting hours and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, assisting in procedures, preparing treatment rooms and performing clerical duties to ensure efficient patient care. BLS/CPR is required or to be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Education or on the job training as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS-CPR certification, or completed within 90 days of hire for direct patient care areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients; take and record vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight.
• Assist physician with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures (urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures).
• Prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions.
• Manage computer-based information to facilitate efficient operation.

Hours: Full Time, 36 hours/ week- Three 12-hour shifts/week. Rotating holidays and weekends
Location: Worcester, MA
Type of Practice: Same Day Services (Urgent Care)
Positions in this function performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice.
Primary Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
• Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
• Prepare treatment rooms
• Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions
• Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information

Required Qualifications
