Job summary

Reliant Medical Group in Worcester, MA is seeking a Clinical Care Assistant to join our Clinical Hematology/ Oncology team. This full-time role provides essential patient support, rooming patients, recording health history and vital signs, and assisting providers with procedures.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma or EMT certification or 1+ years of MA experience.

• CPR certification.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and back-office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment and instruments.
• Room patients, collect health history and document vitals.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle specimens.
• Administer medications and injections/immunizations.
• Assist providers with minor procedures and point-of-care testing.

• Location: Reliant Medical Group, a Part Of Optum: 5 Neponset St, Worcester, MA 01606
• Department: Clinical Hematology/ Oncology
• Schedule:Full time, 38.75 hours/weekly. Monday through Friday, hours between 8:30AM - 5:00PM

This position performs a full range of medical support services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
• Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
• Document patient care using electronic medical record software
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samples
• Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations
• Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing

Required Qualification:

• Medical Assistant diploma, technical certification or 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training or current enrollment in an accredited Medical Assistant program or EMT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA and CMAC), or ability to obtain within 180 days
• CPR certification
• Experience with electronic medical record software (EPIC)
• Experience performing medical back-office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
