Hope Network in Grand Rapids is seeking a Medical Assistant for the River Valley I program on the 2nd shift. This on-site, part-time role supports residents with medication administration, daily living activities, and care coordination to promote independence.

You will document care, monitor health, and collaborate with nursing staff and partners to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality, person-centered services.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CMA credential.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential care setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience administering medications.

The Medical Assistant is a key member of the Hope Network team, providing direct support, supervision, and person-centered care within our residential programs.

What You’ll Do

• Administer, monitor, and document resident medications in accordance with policies and procedures
• Monitor residents' health conditions and communicate changes to nursing staff and healthcare providers
• Support infection control, safety initiatives, and quality assurance practices
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and resident supervision as needed
• Participate in developing and implementing treatment plans and nursing care plans
• Lead shift communication and medication reconciliation to ensure continuity of care
• Coordinate resident medical appointments and support communication with pharmacies, laboratories, and healthcare partners
• Complete documentation and records to maintain compliance with licensing, CARF, and organizational requirements

What You Bring

Preferred:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
• At least one year of experience in a residential care setting
• At least one year of experience administering medications

Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with special physical, emotional, social, and vocational needs
• Ability to complete required training programs and maintain compliance standards
