Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Rheumatology Clinic. You will support physicians and allied health staff, performing patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS certification, and one of several MA credential routes. Relocation assistance and robust benefits are offered with a full-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Must meet one of the following three criteria: accredited Medical Assistant training program by CAHEP or ABHES; or Medical Assistant Certification CCMA/RMA/AAMA/NCMA/CMAC; or completed Medical Services training by the Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a rheumatology clinic.
• Perform a variety of patient care duties as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support front and back-office tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.
• Adhere to clinic policies and safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Position Purpose:

Medical Assistants (MA) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

     • The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs orThe Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
     
     
     
     
  
  
  2. If your Medical Assistant training program was not approved by one of the above agencies, you will need to have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following. If needed, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.
     
     
     
     • National Healthcareer Association: CCMA
     
     
     • American Medical Technologist: RMA
     
     
     • American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA
     
     
     • National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA

Work Requirements:

Able to distinguish appropriate colors, ability to work above or below shoulder level, life to 50 pounds, and walk or be on feet 90% of the day. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
