Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology Clinic in Kingman, AZ. Join a multidisciplinary care team and support physicians, APPs, and nurses with patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Must meet one of three MA credentials: accredited MA program OR national certification OR Armed Forces medical services program.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians/APPs/NPs in clinical tasks and patient care.
• Prepare exam rooms, assist with patient positioning, and document in EMR.
• Perform routine MA duties per physician delegation and clinic protocol.

Education

High School or Equivalent

BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Position Purpose:

Medical Assistants (MA) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days 8:00am – 5:0pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

• High School or Equivalent
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Must meetoneof the following three criteria:

1. Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by one of the following:
   • The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs orThe Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
2. If your Medical Assistant training program was not approved by one of the above agencies, you will need to have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following. If needed, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.
   • National Healthcareer Association: CCMA
   • American Medical Technologist: RMA
   • American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA
   • National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA
   • American Medical Certification Association: CMAC
3. Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States

Work Requirements:

Able to distinguish appropriate colors, ability to work above or below shoulder level, life to 50 pounds, and walk or be on feet 90% of the day. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
