Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant, Referral Coordinator to support employees at our Mt. Sterling, IL Health Center.

The role includes coordinating referrals end-to-end, communicating next steps, and ensuring timely access to care within clinic hours, with designated evening shifts. You will interview patients, take vital signs, maintain records, prepare treatment rooms, administer injections, run labs, perform EKGs, and support front desk operations.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting or approved equivalent with hands-on externship.
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, height/weight).
• Maintains patient health records with accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Performs injections, lab tests, EKGs and related diagnostics as allowed by state regulations.
• Handles front desk tasks, appointment scheduling, and supplies orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
