Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Mt. Sterling, IL is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant, Referral Coordinator to help employees get timely access to care and support the referral journey.

The role includes clinical duties such as taking vital signs, recording health data, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with procedures. Front desk duties and appointment scheduling are also part of the job; evening hours are required 5:00–7:00 PM on Monday and Thursday with the remaining hours flexibly

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or a certificate/diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on externship.
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS for health care providers (AHA/ARC or equivalent).
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs such as pulse, BP, temp, weight and height.
• Maintains and updates patient health records for accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications including injections and performs lab tests and EKGs as allowed by state regulations.
• Performs front desk tasks, schedules appointments, and orders medical supplies.
