Job summary

Englewood Health in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to support patient registration, data collection, and front-line care assistance. Under supervision, you will interview patients, process data in the system, and help move patients from waiting to exam rooms, ensuring efficient physician time.

Preferred candidates have MA/PCT program completion, CPR certification, and CMA/RMA/PCT credentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or 5 years MA/PCT experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician program preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• CMA/RMA/PCT certification required for injection administration and medication documentation/handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health and patient care management.
• Interview patients and/or representatives to obtain personal, demographic and financial information.
• Perform clerical, secretarial and registration tasks.
• Support patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms and prepare patients for physician time.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, the MA/MR assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management, interviews patients and/or patients' representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic, and financial information and identification. Performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients' registration within the registration areas. This position assists with flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory work on patients to ensure efficient use of the physician's time. Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred.

Job Essentials

• MA/MR experience preferred

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
