Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Medical Assistant in New York to support clinical operations, patient flow, and documentation. You will take vitals, assist with injections and specimen collection, and coordinate tests and authorizations under HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS, and Medical Assistant certification, with strong communication and computer skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS Certification and Medical Assistant credential.
• Medical terminology knowledge and clinical understanding.
• Strong computer and data entry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate patient vital signs and record in chart/EMR.
• Give IM and subcutaneous injections and collect specimens as needed.
• Maintain patient calendars and records accurately.
• Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic testing and insurance authorizations.
• Stock and restock supplies per site guidelines.
• Follow HIPAA, safety and PPE guidelines in clinical spaces.
• Assist in patient flow and interactions with staff.
• Support physicians and nurses with procedures as needed.
• Communicate issues to management promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory and exam rooms.
