Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Mount Sinai, NY team. This role supports patient intake, specimen collection, vital signs, and exam preparation in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate holds a Medical Assistant Certificate with a High School Diploma and EMR experience. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to NYH locations if needed. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Requires Medical Assistant Certificate and High School Diploma.
• Proficiency with an EMR system preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes and record information accurately.
• Collect and process lab specimens and perform venipuncture/diagnostic tests.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize equipment and assist providers with data entry.
• Assist physicians during visits and with office procedures.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
