Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix’s Arcadia area seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians, perform vitals, take patient histories, and assist with exams and minor procedures. You’ll coordinate referrals, scheduling, and documentation, while keeping an organized, sterile environment and ensuring patient comfort.

The role requires completion of an approved MA program, active MA certification, BLS, and solid computer skills. You’ll join a fast-paced, patient-centered team with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program per state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA etc.).
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam and record vital signs and chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinate patient care with referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support, maintain medical records and aid billing processes.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and sterilize equipment per policy.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks.
