Cook Children’s Health Care System in Prosper Lakewood Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant. The role supports physicians in a busy primary care clinic, preparing patients and delivering care under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma and MA certification or graduation from an MA program, CPR certification, and preferred national MA certification. Schedule is first shift with hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm; weekly hours total 24.

Summary: The Medical Assistant role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure.

Schedule: Monday,Tuesday,Thursday- 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma required.

• Required: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• National certification preferred.

• Current CPR certification required.
