Job summary

Premise Health in Findlay, OH is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support our Health Center. You’ll combine front desk administration with clinical assisting, working closely with a Nurse Practitioner in a collaborative workplace.

The role includes greeting patients, taking vital signs, maintaining records, performing lab tests and basic injections, and coordinating preventive care screenings and wellness events for employees.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization.
• Current BLS/CPR card (AHA/ARC) required.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections; perform laboratory tests; operate EKGs.
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at front desk, schedule appointments, and order supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, MA, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Findlay, OH.

• Monday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Tuesday, Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Dual-role position combining front office administration and medical assisting
• Work closely with a Nurse Practitioner in a collaborative workplace health center
• Conduct patient outreach and schedule preventive care screenings and follow-up appointments
• Support employee wellness initiatives, including flu shot and health screening events
• Enjoy a dynamic mix of scheduled appointments and walk-in urgent care visits

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
