Job summary

Marathon Health is actively seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Tacoma, WA. You will escort patients, collect vitals, draw blood, administer medications and immunizations, and support the care team in creating individualized care plans.

This role includes front desk duties and coordination with labs and referrals. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, graduate of a Medical Assistant program, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred/required where applicable
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are stocked and clean
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health data
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines
• Process test results and communicate with patients timely
• Engage patients through outreach to improve engagement
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment for treatments
