Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification, strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years recent experience in urgent or primary care.
• Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Providers and others to resolve issues.
• Ability to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to patients, families, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers in patient care to deliver optimal medical care.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations and minor procedures.
• Prepare patient charts, referrals, labs, and DMEs.
• Update EMR with patient demographics and insurance information.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups with specialists and facilities.
• Maintain clinic supplies and inventory; manage triage calls and scheduling.
