Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide direct nursing care in a medical office under a physician's direction. You will assist providers and maintain a clean, safe environment while supporting daily clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has a MA diploma or 3 years healthcare experience, BLS certification, and the ability to perform injections, venipuncture, and basic lab tests. Occasional local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Three years of healthcare experience in lieu of a MA diploma or a current MA certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect history, assess needs, and assist physicians with procedures.
• Prepare equipment and document in patient records per charting policy.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform injections and basic lab tests.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and restock supplies; assist with referrals.
• Answer office phones and assist with scheduling and front desk tasks.
