Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and create a welcoming guest experience for our patients.

Our model combines front-desk duties with clinical responsibilities, including taking vitals, injections, blood draws, and assisting with procedures. A minimum of 1 year MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration preferred; required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room; maintains exam room cleanliness and stock.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and communication with patients.
• Document data in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
• Support care team with plan of care and address gaps in care.
