Job summary

Trellis Health is seeking Medical Assistants to join our Brunswick, Maine practice, offering a frontline role shaping patient care and clinic workflow. You will greet patients, room them, take vital signs, and assist providers with procedures in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The position requires reliability, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and ability to work onsite Monday–Friday 8:30–5, with compensation in the $20–$30+ per hour range and benefits including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a medical assisting program or 160 hours clinical.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days after hiring.
• NSHC Health Coaching Certificate within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Greets and rooms patients; measures and monitors vital signs.
• Documents patient information and reports to provider.
• Administers medications, immunizations, and performs wound care per protocol.
• Performs specimen collection and transport as directed by the provider.
• Prepares prescriptions in the EMR and processes refills.
• Enters labs, x-rays, and other diagnostics per protocol.
• Assists with patient education under provider guidance.
• Maintains clean and disinfected exam rooms and equipment.
• Provides health coaching to a defined group of patients with follow-up calls.
• Supports scheduling and care team huddles for efficient clinic flow.
