NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Patchogue is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team. The role supports physicians and nurses in patient care, helps with exam flow, vital signs, ECGs, and phlebotomy as needed, and maintains exam room readiness.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or MA program graduate, strong communication, and basic computing skills. Preferred are BLS, MA certification, and EPIC Ambulatory experience.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Basic computing skills.
• BLS certification preferred.
• MA certification preferred.
• EPIC Ambulatory knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care and procedures.
• Support patient flow and escort patients to exam and treatment areas.
• Record vital signs, weights, and ECGs as needed; assist with blood collection.
• Maintain clean, prepped exam rooms and assist with light housekeeping.
• Process patient charges according to policy.
• Assist with scheduling treatments and renewals; respond to calls from treatment areas.
• Stock exam and treatment rooms with supplies and chart forms.
• Help train new Medical Assistants; perform administrative tasks as needed.
