St. Elizabeth in Aurora, Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers. You will escort patients, take vital signs, document the exam history, and ensure HIPAA/CLIA compliance. No nights, holidays, or weekends with opportunities for career growth.

You will prepare patients for exams, assist during procedures, collect lab specimens, and administer medications as directed. Accurate charting and efficient workflow are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• One year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience.
• Completion of MA program including hands-on externship.
• Completion of SEP Internship.
• Completion of EMT certification.
• Degree in Health or Biological Sciences inclusive of hands-on clinical patient care activities such as Athletic Trainer

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document in chart.
• Document patient history in chart and provide clear directions to patients.
• Prepare patients for the exam and assist the provider during examinations.
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision of providers and administer medications as directed.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic lab tests.
• Ensure all forms and records are complete for revenue cycle and filing, verify orders, waivers, and encounter forms.
• Maintain supplies in exam rooms, disinfect and sterilize equipment and ensure logs are kept (temps, meds, etc.).
• Triage and process messages from patients and front desk; assist with referrals and scheduling.

Formation

High School Diploma/G.E.D

Completion of MA program including hands-on externship

SEP Internship or EMT certification

Health or Biological Sciences degree including hands-on clinical patient care
