Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team at West Berkeley Health Center in Berkeley, CA. The role supports urgent and primary care within a community health setting, using an Electronic Health Record system and collaborating with a clinical team.

You will perform clinical tasks, patient intake, and education while maintaining a clean, organized clinic environment and adhering to infection control procedures. CPR certification and MA program completion are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a community clinic or medical office setting.
• Current CPR from AHA approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and vital signs in the EHR.
• Assist medical providers with clerical and clinical tasks.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control.
• Support front desk with telephone, scheduling and eligibility tasks.
• Perform injections and basic in-clinic lab tests as ordered.
