Job summary

QuadMed in Macon, GA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our employer health center focused on primary care. This full-time role offers hands-on patient care and a team-based environment.

You will perform vital signs, manage EMR documentation, assist examinations, and support front-office operations while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of MA experience.
• Phlebotomy and clinical lab procedures proficiency.
• Front office experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.).
• Documents EMR entries and patient data (history, vitals, treatments, test results).
• Assists medical staff with patient examinations.
• Uses CPR skills when necessary.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks, and sterilizes instruments.
• Provides patients with instructions and registration information.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information per laws and policies.
• Participates in development activities and affiliations with MA associations.
• Supports preventative health care concepts and team-based care delivery.
• Front office duties: reception, check-in/out, payments, scheduling.
• May perform routine screening tests.
• Draws blood samples and prepares specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepares and administers injections and immunizations.
• Changes dressings and performs basic first aid.
• Assists with referrals scheduling.
• Some centers may require travel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
