Job summary

QuadMed in Macon, GA is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time, 30-hour weekly schedule in a patient-focused employer health center with primary care. You will perform vital signs, EMR documentation, basic exams assistance, injections, blood draws, and front-office duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy and clinical laboratory procedures proficiency.
• Front office experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.).
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation into the EMR; patient interviews and histories, vital signs, treatments, test results.
• Assists medical staff with patient examinations.
• Uses CPR skills when necessary.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks, and sterilizes instruments.
• Provides patients with instructions and other information regarding preparations for the service and necessary registration.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient and organization information and follows regulations and policies.
• Participates in development activities and maintains affiliations with medical assistant associations.
• Commitment to preventative health care and team-based approach to health care delivery.
• Front office duties including reception, patient check-in/check-out, payment collection, and electronic scheduling.
• May perform routine screening tests, draw blood, prepare specimens, administer injections/immunizations, dressing changes, referrals scheduling; travel may be required.
