Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant for the Baymeadows Primary Care office. You will perform back-office duties, room patients, obtain vitals, greet and chaperone patients during visits, and support the provider.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of patient care experience, physician's office experience, and a High School Diploma or GED. BLS is required; CMA is preferred. This is a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM role with a sign-on bonus up to $1,000.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of patient care experience.
• Experience in a physician's office preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physicians.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits.
• Maintains medical documentation.
• Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
• Processes prescription requests and referrals.
