Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support our Primary Care Providers in delivering safe, timely and patient-centered care. You will work with patients and the care team to uphold Mercy Service Standards and improve quality outcomes in a busy clinic.

Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; prior patient care or medical office experience is preferred. You will attend MA Clinic Academy training as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred graduates from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• One year of patient care or medical office experience preferred.
• Must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
