UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare unit is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in ambulatory clinics, performing injections, phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and quality surveys, while delivering exceptional patient service. Required: High school diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant program (or Military Medic); current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire

• Experience with multiple EMR/EHR Systems such as EPIC, E-Clinical Works (ECW), Allscripts Practice Management (APM), NextGen, Cerner

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
