MaineHealth Primary Care - Damariscotta is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a clinical team delivering patient-centered care in a full-time role. Sign-on bonuses apply based on experience, with $4,000 for 0-1 years and $5,000 for 1+ years, prorated for part-time. The position is 36 hours per week, with compensation in the range shown below.

The MA will support the delivery of safe, effective, timely and equitable patient care within a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED preferred; MA program with 160 hours clinical experience or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS required or must be obtained within 30 days; NH licenses may apply for NH locations.
• Experience: Relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• MA functions as part of the clinical team delivering safe, patient-centered care.
• Supports timely, efficient, and equitable delivery of patient care.
• Performs supportive duties in the delivery of care as assigned.

Job description

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a full-time, 36 hour per week position.

MaineHealth Primary Care - Damariscotta | MaineHealth is searching for a Medical Assistant! The MA functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
