Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for an urgent care role in North Conway, NH. This position supports providers, handles patient intake, clinical procedures, and coordination of care in a fast-paced, patient-centered team.

Sign-on bonuses are available: $4,000 for 0-1 year experience and $5,000 for 1+ year experience. Part-time, full-time options apply, with prorated bonuses for part-time. Base pay ranges hourly and includes benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; MA program with 160 hours clinical or 6 months MA clinical experience or 1 year in a multi-provider practice.
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT; BLS within 30 days; NH Med Tech License or NH EMT/National Registry EMT for NH locations.
• Experience: Six months MA or one year MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Medical Assistant - Urgent Care
Location: North Conway, New Hampshire
Position Type: 24 hours per week

As a Medical Assistant, you will support providers in delivering timely care to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. In this role, you will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and coordination of care while helping ensure each patient receives compassionate, efficient treatment. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.
