Job summary

MaineHealth's Memorial Hospital in North Conway is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Primary Care, Family/Internal Medicine and Pediatrics teams. You will assist Behavioral Health patients and contribute to a patient-centered practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Behavioral Health patients in a primary care setting.
• Assist in Family/Internal Medicine and Pediatrics clinics.
• Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure patient-centered care.

Education

Medical Assisting program with 160 hours of clinical experience completed

• 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
• 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.

Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;

Our Primary Care team in North Conway is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy Primary Care, Family/Internal Medicine & Pediatrics practice. In this position you wil be supporting our Behavioral Health patients.

As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients of all ages—from newborns to older adults. You’ll work alongside a supportive team of providers and staff who value collaboration, compassion, and patient-centered care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.
