Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 100% FTE role at the N Alpine Clinic in Rockford. The position offers weekday hours 8:00am–5:00pm, with on-site work at 1253 N Alpine. Benefits include a comprehensive package, retirement, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications include an accredited MA program or associate degree, HS diploma or equivalent, and clinic experience; current RMA/AAMA/CCMA/NCCT certification and CPR are required on hire and maintained thereafter.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, you will work at UW Health N Alpine Clinic 1253 N Alpine

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
