Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, AK is hiring for a Full Time Day shift (Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm). The role combines clinical and administrative duties, including taking vitals, medical history, preparing patients for exams, phlebotomy, and inputting documentation into Epic.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, plus 1 year of medical office or clinical assistant experience; CMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Medical Office experience OR 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vitals and patient medical history.
• Prepare patients for exams and perform POC testing and phlebotomy.
• Input documentation into Epic and assist physician as directed.
• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling and maintaining records.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs clinical and administrative duties under the direction of a physician. Clinical duties will include taking and recording vitals, patient medical history, preparing patients for exam, POC testing, vaccinations, phlebotomy, inputting documentation into Epic, and other duties as designated by the physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, verifying demographics and maintaining medical records.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of Medical Office experience OR
• 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience in a healthcare/medical setting

PREFERRED:

• Certified Medical Assistant
• One Year Healthcare /Medical -Clinical Assistant Experience
