Job summary

Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy skills to support physicians in the office. You will perform lab tests, quality control, specimen handling, and assist with procedures while maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma (or GED), BLS, and venipuncture experience; travel to other clinic locations is occasionally required. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site position.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician's office with venipuncture.
• High School diploma or GED; BLS required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Perform laboratory blood work and phlebotomy.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
• Document test results and maintain QC/equipment logs.
• Assist physicians with procedures and coordinate external tests.
