Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office-based procedures, performing phlebotomy, lab testing, quality control, and instrument troubleshooting.

A high school diploma or GED is required; BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, at the Gainesville location.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
